Frequently asked questions
To book boarding, you must first complete the new client forms. From there, you will need to use our platform to book your first daycare as a trial!
In addition, all dogs are required to be spayed/neutered, up-to-date on distemper, parvo, rabies and bordetella vaccines, as well as heart worm and flea preventative. ALL DOGS are required to be crate trained.
Along with some traditional crates, our home is equipped with 4x4 HDPE and tempered glass luxury suites! This gives your dog plenty of room during the few times they may be crated. Crates are used for safety purposes at Holly's Dog Sitting and each dog should be comfortable being in a crate if necessary; however, how long your dog is in a crate, or if they are at all will depend on their own temperament. We tend to use these safety precautions for when we are unable to supervise, such as when we leave or overnight. Please feel free to message me if you have questions!
Unlike a boarding facility, Holly's Dog Sitting can offer an at-home experience for your dog; they can snuggle up on the couch with humans all day or play with others in our fenced in backyard. Dogs are never left alone for more than 4 hours at a time, and are rarely in a crate.
We get lots of compliments on our updates, which are provided 2-3 times a day consisting of videos and/or photos of your dog!
Yes! Once your vet has cleared them for boarding and daycare we will accept them and they do not need to be spay/neutered until 6 months. Extra fees may apply due to additional supervision, cleaning and potential damages. This fee may also apply to any dog who shows marking behavior or is not potty trained.
Drop off and pickup times need to be scheduled in advanced at the following time frames:
Monday - Thursday: 7:30am-6:00pm, 8-9pm
Friday: 7:30am to 6:00pm
Saturday: 9:00am-1:00pm
Sunday: 9:00am - 9:00pm
We are CLOSED for pickup and drop off during major holidays and have limited hours on days like Black Friday, Christmas Eve and New Years Eve.
We do not go outside of these hours for any reason. If you return from your trip early, you are subject to our cancellation policy. We still will not offer pickups outside of these hours.
Please treat your drop off and pickup like an appointment - if you are 15 minutes late, we will cancel or reschedule.
**Please keep in mind boarding is for 24-hour periods only. If your pickup is past the hour you dropped off, extra fees will apply.
On average we have about 2-4 dogs, but our limit is 6 clients. To ensure safety all dogs are on a "supervise or separate" policy. Dogs are never allowed to roam free with dogs without supervision. Play is heavily supervised and broken up when it starts to get too rough. Each dog coming in is temperament tested with my own dogs before meeting other dogs so I can match them appropriately with dogs of the same temperament. This introduction process is highly structured and can sometimes take hours, I recommend booking a trial daycare in advanced. In addition, you will sign a vet release form and I am fully insured to handle any situation that occurs.
We do have a 100lb weight limit for Boarding and Daycare
Any time a stay is modified or cancelled, the owner must notify Holly's Dog Sitting within 7 days of the start date of that booking. If owner fails to notify Holly's Dog Sitting within this time frame, owner will be required to pay 25% or $25, whichever is higher. This policy is strict as there are limited spots and cancellations impact other families plans when they cannot board their dog with us. This policy also applies to cutting your trip early!
Because we offer a variety of services, prices can be found on the pages of the services you're interested in!
A few fees to be aware of:
Boarding is for 24-hour long periods. This means if you drop off early but pickup past the time you selected for drop off, there may be a daycare fee. Daycare hours end at 6pm, if you pickup past 6pm, we will add a fee. Please feel free to inquire about additional fees and pricing.
